Where Are You Not Free?

Happy Lunar New Year!

As you know, our program is grounded in evidence-based science. I am, at my core, a scientist. And I also know there is energy on this planet far beyond our current understanding.

The strongest scientists recognize this truth: discovery is endless. What we know is only a fraction of what exists.

My grandfather was a chemist in Pune, India—and he also practiced Ayurvedic medicine. People sought him out for his ability to heal because he understood both chemistry and consciousness. Data and intuition. Structure and spirit.

This Lunar New Year welcomes the Year of the Fire Horse—a symbol of momentum, heart, and sovereignty.

Here’s what that energy invites us into:

  • Forward momentum, bold action, and big moves.
This is not a year for shrinking.
  • A horse’s heart generates an electromagnetic field up to five times larger than a human’s.
It radiates outward like a sphere and can directly influence the heart rhythm of anyone standing nearby.
This year amplifies whatever you are carrying in your heart. Your energy isn’t just felt by you.
  • Horses are emotional mirrors.
Research shows they absorb and reflect the emotional state of humans around them. If you are calm, they are calm. If you are anxious, they feel it instantly.
The Fire Horse year reflects your energy back to you.
Nervous system regulation first—especially in perimenopause. Manifestation second.
  • Horses sleep only about three hours a day.
When one lies down for deep rest, another stands guard.
This is not the year to glorify exhaustion. It is the year to ask: Who do I trust enough to let my guard down?
    Rest isn’t weakness. It’s strategy.
  • The Fire Horse is powerful, intuitive, perceptive, and deeply connected to the energy around her.
(*Inspired by the teachings of Jill Wintersteen.)

If you are in your perimenopause transition, this energy may feel amplified—especially in the intensity of our current political climate.

This is a year of sovereignty.

Where are you not free?
Where are you not honoring your own timing?
Where are you outsourcing your authority?

This year asks us to root into our own wisdom. To make choices aligned with our values. To reclaim our nervous systems. To contribute something meaningful.

There will be moments that feel confronting. Exhausting. Stretching.

This work is not just personal—it is collective.
It’s about learning how to hold power with integrity.
And we cannot do it alone.

Which is why this is the perfect time to join us in person for Perimenopause Power. Register here: LINK

Our Perimenopause Power Workshop is where science meets sovereignty.
Where we teach you the evidence-based physiology of your changing hormones—and the nervous system tools to help you regulate, lead, and thrive in this season.

This is not about “managing symptoms.”
It’s about reclaiming authority over your body and your life.

If this is your year to move boldly, regulate deeply, and stand rooted in your own power, we would love to see you there.

Happy Year of the Horse.
Happy Year of Sovereignty.

With strength and heart,

Konika

*Note: References to equine heart fields and emotional mirroring draw from a blend of peer-reviewed animal behavior research and interpretations commonly used in equine-assisted therapy. While horses are highly responsive to human emotional cues, some energetic explanations are still being explored and are not yet established in mainstream physiology.

Happy New Moon, My inbox has been full this week with so many amazing moms asking for workshops before everyone heads off on summer adventures. I hear you. This time of year is a big transition for our daughters (and for us), and it’s worth supporting them with the tools they need before everything shifts. I’m offering the four topics moms are requesting the most and a bundle deal (save $50) when you register for both kids workshops. Feel free to email me at here if you have any questions. Go...

Happy Pink Full Moon, Our popular Girl & Grown-Up "Period Power" workshop is back on April 25th as well as our virtual "Pause Power" workshop on April 22nd. There’s something I keep noticing lately, in my students, in my daughter, and honestly… in myself too. Sleep deprivation. Our body literacy classes always begin with a check-in and a chance for students to draw a picture of their "inner weather report" in their journal. One of my students said they noticed a pattern. "I am always tired!"...

Happy Spring Equinox! My daughter turned 15 yesterday. And surprisingly…the hardest part wasn’t the cake, the guest list, or even the emotions. It was her wishlist. Think: itsy bitsy teeny weeny crop tops and micro skirts. The kind of clothes that make you pause as a parent—not because they’re “wrong,” but because they raise bigger questions. Just last week, after my talk at Burkes School (“Girl Power: Building Body Resilience”), a mom asked me: “How do you balance letting girls wear what they...
