My Favorite Perimenopause Booklist + A Workshop for Your Daughter

Happy Full Moon!

This full moon has me reflecting on how powerful it feels to gather — in our treehouse classroom, school libraries, and cozy yoga studios — to talk about the things that truly matter.

Last week, I had the honor of leading “Media Mindset: Parenting in the Digital Age” in Argonne Elementary's cozy library. There is something so reassuring about a room full of parents leaning in, asking thoughtful questions, and realizing we’re not alone in navigating this digital world.

If you’d like to join the conversation, I’m offering a virtual parent education session on Wednesday, March 24 from 7–8:30 pm PST.
We’ll explore practical tools for raising grounded, confident kids in a media-saturated culture.

Even better — if you sign your daughter up for our “Media Mindset” Workshop (Saturday, March 28 from 2–3:30 pm), the parent session is included free (a $55 value). The kids workshop is interactive, empowering, and designed to help them build confidence, critical thinking skills, and healthy boundaries with media.

🌟 Spots are limited for both events.

🌞 Summer Camp — A Few Spots Left!

Our summer camps expand on these same themes — resilience, confidence, friendship, body literacy, puberty power, and so much more. Camp is where the magic really unfolds. We intentionally keep groups small, and we have just a few spots remaining.

If your daughter is ready for a summer of growth, connection, and joy, I’d love for her to join us.

🌕 Too Hot to Handle: My Favorite Books About Perimenopause

Last weekend, Natalie Donnell (co-owner of Soluna Yoga and Wellness) and I led our very first in-person “Perimenopause Power” workshop — and it was incredible. Honest conversation, laughter, wisdom, and so much shared strength in the room.

If you’ve ever thought, “Why didn’t anyone prepare us for this season of life?” — you’re not alone. Click on the link (blue title above) to view the booklist.

If you’d like to organize a private Perimenopause Power gathering in our treehouse or your home, just reply to this email. It is such a meaningful way to honor this transition — in community.

Speaking of community, it was an absolute joy to connect with the parents and administrators at Burke’s School for Girls. We had 51 parents register — the perfect number since I just turned 51!

My talk, “Girl Power: Building Body Resilience,” focused on three key areas:
• The Brain
• Body Changes
• Boundaries

The conversation was thought provoking and energizing, and I’d be happy to offer this talk virtually if there’s interest. Simply reply to this email and let me know.

Thank you for being part of this growing circle — raising resilient girls and supporting one another through every season of womanhood.

If this newsletter resonates, feel free to forward it to a friend who might love being part of this community.

With gratitude and full moon energy,
Konika

Happy New Moon, My inbox has been full this week with so many amazing moms asking for workshops before everyone heads off on summer adventures. I hear you. This time of year is a big transition for our daughters (and for us), and it’s worth supporting them with the tools they need before everything shifts. I’m offering the four topics moms are requesting the most and a bundle deal (save $50) when you register for both kids workshops. Feel free to email me at here if you have any questions. Go...

Happy Pink Full Moon, Our popular Girl & Grown-Up "Period Power" workshop is back on April 25th as well as our virtual "Pause Power" workshop on April 22nd. There’s something I keep noticing lately, in my students, in my daughter, and honestly… in myself too. Sleep deprivation. Our body literacy classes always begin with a check-in and a chance for students to draw a picture of their "inner weather report" in their journal. One of my students said they noticed a pattern. "I am always tired!"...

Happy Spring Equinox! My daughter turned 15 yesterday. And surprisingly…the hardest part wasn’t the cake, the guest list, or even the emotions. It was her wishlist. Think: itsy bitsy teeny weeny crop tops and micro skirts. The kind of clothes that make you pause as a parent—not because they’re “wrong,” but because they raise bigger questions. Just last week, after my talk at Burkes School (“Girl Power: Building Body Resilience”), a mom asked me: “How do you balance letting girls wear what they...
